Henzells Plaza
51 Minchinton Street, Caloundra
Completed.
Where legacy lives on
Few projects embody the Henzell story as powerfully as Henzell Plaza. Originally developed in the early 1970s by Mclean Henzell’s grandfather, Bevan Henzell, the building became part of a family presence in the heart of Caloundra stretching back to 1935.
Almost 45 years later, Mclean led its transformation for a new generation. Working with OGE Group Architects, the redevelopment retained the building’s original structural core while completely reimagining the spaces around it. Warm timber, textured brickwork, refined detailing and open, light-filled interiors brought new life to a familiar local landmark.
Today, 51 Minchinton Street is home to Henzell Developments. More than a beautifully renewed building, it is a living connection between generations and a powerful expression of the philosophy that continues to guide the business: respect what came before, then create something enduring for what comes next.
